STUDENT PROJECTS

Aaskash was recommended by a fellow student  of hers, and past client of mine. Aakash needed her resume revised, While I normally don't revise resumes professionally, I knew I could show her a format that would work for her needs (first foray into the corporate world), and spice it up with a few well-selected words. The very next day, she had a beautiful new resume back to her, that highlighted the skills she needed to convey, and removed or reworded a few others that didn't quite fit her objectives.

Paul needed assistance with his personal statement for medical school (PhD). He contacted the Document Bandit July 4th weekend. Even though DB was closed for the holiday, we spoke that evening via e-mail about his needs and very aggressive deadline. The very next day, DB was able to produce a thoroughly edited personal statement back to him. Before we communicated however, Paul had hired another company to edit his document at more than 10 times  the cost of DB. Because the DB rates are fair, and a personal statement can determine his education and career paths, he had both edit his work. Read his comments to find out the result...

John needed help with everything! He came to the Document Bandit  in early October with only 50 or so pages of what needed to be at least 120 to make the case and defend his Doctoral Dissertation. Not being very familiar with the topic at hand, the Document Bandit dug in to do her own research so that she could accurately guide John through the rest of his arguments and case studies. Less than two months later, John's dissertation is a work of art. He will be defending his dissertation in January of 2007, and can't wait for the results!

Kelly needed assistance with an essay she had to write about her literacy journey. Being only four pages long, Document Bandit was able to help her create a more fluid essay that detailed her journey from a very young age to present day.

This student needed deep editing for his secondary application short essays for dental school (DMD). The Document Bandit worked with him for several hours, communicating via AOL instant messenger. It was a collaboration in order to generate the best content for the required essays.

This student requested help with several secondary application short essays for medical school (MD). Her deadline was tight, and the Document Bandit was able to turn-around the editing within a couple hours.

This student contacted Document Bandit with a very aggressive deadline requirement for her medical school (MD) application Personal Statement. Working after hours and communicating via e-mail and AOL instant messenger, the Document Bandit edited and organized her Personal Statement content into a very well thought out essay. Turn-around time was just over three hours, including collaboration and communication time.

Terry needed help with her Doctoral Dissertation, editing and formatting. We initially thought it had to be formatted in APA, but later learned that the program had it's own set of guidelines for formatting - somewhere in between APA and MLA.

Bien Baez is not your average college student. After many years working in her field, she decided to go back to school and get her PhD in Philosophy from SUNY Albany. Part of obtaining a PhD is creating a Doctoral Dissertation that many students spend years on. Bien went  to Heather after a very frustrating situation with an editing company that had been recommended to her. This company lacked communication and the personal attention a student in this situation requires, and placed Bien in an awful (and expensive) time crunch.

Bien sent Heather all 260 pages of her dissertation for editing and reformatting, and was very happy with the results. After hearing of her situation, Heather cut her normal rate in half and agreed to work within the aggressive deadlines. Heather also revamped the Table of Contents, re-created section headers and insured that end-note, foot-note and chart references were accurately represented. Bien graduated in May 2007 after successfully defending her dissertation.

The student contacted Document Bandit with a very aggressive deadline requirement. He had to mail in his medical school application with a two-page Personal Statement the very next day.

Working after hours and communicating via e-mail and AOL instant messenger, the Document Bandit edited and organized his content into a very impressive statement that is sure to attract praise (and acceptance!) from those reviewing. Turn-around time was one hour and he was very happy with the results.
